SHILLONG: The HSPDP is not opposed to the idea of a unified front of the regional parties in the state, but maintained that there should be mutual understanding among the local parties.
Speaking to reporters on Thursday, HSPDP president KP Pangniang and chief organiser of the party, Samlin Malngiang said mutual understanding has to be established before moving towards unification.
Pangniang also spoke on the need for joint efforts by the regional parties for maximum gains in the 2019 District Council elections.
