DC to address BJP’s farmers’ meet

SHILLONG: The farmers’ wing of BJP will hold a public meeting for the farmers in Ampati on Monday.
The Deputy Commissioner, South West Garo Hills, Ram Kumar will attend the meet as the chief guest.
The meeting is as per the initiative of Pramod Koch, state general secretary of BJP, K. C. Boro, state president, Kisan Morcha, BJP, Bakul Hajong, state vice president, Kisan Morcha, BJP and other BJP leaders in the district.
In a statement, Boro said the farmers’ meet will be held at 11.30 am to discuss the drought situation and other issues face by farmers.
Boro said around 1000 farmers are expected to attend the Sammelan.
