Explosives used to catch fish
Fardina C Marak lodged a complaint that two persons Arphi Marak and Salchil R Sangma used explosives for catching fish from a place which was reserved by the clan, as fish sanctuary, in Rongon River (EGH).
Two caught while damaging NEHU property
D Nongrang, I/c Security Cell, NEHU Shillong lodged a complaint that on August 2, around 5 pm, two persons, Kenneth Lyngwa and Robinson Lyngdoh were caught while removing and damaging the aluminum window frame and breaking the glasses of the football ground gallery at NEHU, Shillong. Loss of property is estimated around Rs. 10,000.

Accused escapes
On August 2, Bishnu Ali who is accused of a case escaped during his medical examination at Civil Hospital, Shillong.
Theft menace torments citizens
On August 1 around 8.30 pm, miscreants stole a motorcycle (ML-08D-3913) belonging to Nityananda Koch from Town Higher Secondary School, Tura
Aditya Agarwal lodged a complaint that on August 1 around 2 pm, miscreants stole goods from his godown at 4th Furlong, Shillong. Later, one of the accused identified as Rohit Das (25) was apprehended and he was later handed over to police.
Sodom R Marak lodged a complaint that on August 1 around 4.20 pm, three persons in a tempo vehicle (ML-08E-2988) went to Rangapani village under Monabari OP (SWGH) and stole four goats from the village and fled towards Aidoba village (SWGH). The complainant and his friends chased the culprits and managed to apprehend a seventeen-year-old boy at Talbari Mana village. Later, another seventeen year old boy was apprehended and was handed over to Mankachar PS.
Alaistair Nongdhar lodged a complaint that on August 1 at about 11.45 pm, miscreants stole three bags and sound equipment from his Toyota Qualis (ML-05L-0835) which was parked at Kharmalki, Malki, Shillong.
Vinay Kumar Mahajan lodged a complaint that on the night of July 29, unknown miscreants stole his motorcycle from Upper New Colony, Shillong.

Man forcibly enters house
Rosa Mary Mawthoh lodged a complaint that on July 31 circa 11 pm, Bahdeng Puriang forcibly entered her residence at Wahiing Syiem, Smit (EKH) and had a scuffle with her.
Goods missing from home
Begom Ch Momin lodged a complaint that on July 30 at about 6.30 pm, when she went home at Dainadubi (NGH) along with Police and members of Mother’s Union, she found that her house was locked and sealed by her sisters-in-law. Later, the complainant found that a Bolero pick-up, one scooty, two computer sets, one bicycle, SBI passbook, (7) livestock, etc, were found missing from her house.

IT Act violated
Donboklang Kharlyngdoh of Mawlai Umjaiur lodged a complaint that on July 19, at about 9 pm, Lakhamti Tyrna posted his photo with the intention to cause hurt and tarnish his reputation.

Handyman injured
A man was injured in an accident at Umtrew in Ri Bhoi on Thursday.
The incident occurred around 8.30 pm, when the handyman of an oil tanker sustained injuries after the vehicle was hit by a truck. The injured identified as Manoj Chauhan (23). The Umsning based Ambulance helped the victim to shift in CH.
