Campaign to support Khasi lineage bill

SHILLONG: A signature in support of the KHAD (Khasi Social Custom of Lineage) (Second Amendment) Bill, 2018, was organised by the Hynniewtrep A’chik National Movement (HANM) on Saturday.
HANM general secretary M Dkhar appealed for the support to the bill intended to protect and promote the interest of the Khasi community. The organisation also said the state and the KHADC should come up with laws to protect the customary traditions of the community which include land, trade etc.
