Farmers’ union to hold meet to discuss grievances

SHILLONG: The Hill Farmers Union (HFU) will hold a general meeting of farmers of Khasi-Jaintia Hills on September 10 at Mawkhar National Dorbar Hall at 11 am.
The issue of discussion will be on the alleged illegal deduction of amount by traders and the decline in prices of agricultural products.
As per a statement issued by the general secretary of HFU, Allfondbirth Kharsyntiew, farmers will be given an opportunity to air their grievances.
