Wife files FIR over death of husband

SHILLONG: The state police is waiting for postmortem and forensic reports of the late BSF personnel Sunil Dhope’s who was found dead near his quarters in Shillong.
The wife of the BSF personnel has filed an FIR over the suspicious nature of the death of her husband in Maharashtra.
East Khasi Hills SP, Davis Marak said that the police have received the FIR and the case has been registered and investigation into the matter is on.
” After investigation, we can establish whether it was suicide or some foul play is there,” Marak added.
Shillong police has also questioned some BSF personnel into the matter and more personnel will be questioned.
Earlier, Sunil Dhope’s body was found near his quarters in Shillong where he was posted five years ago.
Dhope was originally from Maharashtra. His wife lodged a complaint stating that one senior officer of BSF, Shillong and four others are responsible for the death of her husband.
