Manipur govt to give top priority to uplift of minorities: CM

Imphal: Manipur Chief Minister N. Biren Singh said the present government would give its priority to uplift the minorities and weaker sections of the society.
Speaking at the silver jubilee celebration of the All Manipur Muslims (Meitei Pangal) Welfare Association held here, Mr Biren said the politics is not to create division and to break the cordial relationship among various communities but to bring inclusive development and harmony in the state.
The government is committed to deliver good governance at the grassroots, he added.
Until there is no inclusive development in the state, there won’t be peace and harmony in the state, Mr Biren added.
He mentioned that the present government is action oriented and has initiated various. (UNI)
