SHILLONG: When the community braces for the four-day Durga Puja and Dussehra festivity in Shillong, at least one puja organiser in town has decided to remember the armed forces who are guarding our borders.
On Sunday, the Rilbong Durga Puja Committee, which is celebrating its 92nd year of the festival, will hold a public function at Rilbong at 6.30 pm to pay tribute to the rich legacy of sacrifice and valour of the armed forces.
Governor Tathagata Roy will attend as the chief guest. the show will pay respect to the brave hearts through songs, dances and words of gratitude.
The top brass of Army, BSF, CRPF and Meghalaya police will attend the show. On this occasion, the BSF music band will entertain the audience.
