SHILLONG: The state government will take a call on the proposed resolution on ILP being brought by the KHADC.
Deputy Chief Minister Prestone Tynsong said on Wednesday that the resolution was passed by KHADC will be examined by both the governor and the government.
“Let them pass it and they have the legal mandate to do so and we do not know whether it is right or wrong. But when they submit it to the governor, he will seek the opinion of the government,” Tynsong told reporters. To a question, the deputy chief minister said since the district council is considered as party less and ruled by a coalition, state NPP leadership cannot be blamed for the action of the council led by the NPP on the issue of ILP.
The NPP-led MDA government is concentrating on developing entry and exit points instead of ILP like the previous Congress-led government.
