GUWAHATI: “The politico-economic problems of the general public cannot be eliminated only by changing the politicians and party. The change in policy and politics of the country and the world is the need of hour,” said contemporary political philosopher Bharat Gandhi on Thursday.
“Today the need emerged for a new political party not only to replace the ruling party but to replace the present politico-economic order,” Gandhi added.
Gandhi informed that the new political party – the Voters Party International (VPI) has come before the public of Assam with a blueprint of the new politico-economic order.
He observed that Assam which is far from the mainstream of development of the country and the world is in need of a political alternative that could enable the use of new methods in solving the problems of the people.
Focusing on the economic problems of Assam he stated that financial crisis is the main problem faced by the people and can only be solved by making a law to distribute money by the labour of machines, by natural resources and by existence of various laws.
The Voters Party International founder said that a bill which would distribute the rent of collective properties of the country and the world is also known as ‘Votership Bill’.
Explaining the calculations of rent of the collective property, Gandhi stated that if the proposal of votership rights were translated into law, then a minimum of Rs 6000 could be given to every voter in Assam.
He added that this amount may be increased up to more than Rs 10000 if the government of Homeland of the South Asia region including countries like India, Pakistan, Nepal, Bhutan, Bangladesh, Burma and Maldives will be formed by competent International treaty on the lines of the European Union.
Gandhi said that the VPI has accepted the challenge to stop violence, to spread prosperity and to maintain peace in the state, which is why all sections of society should show their support for the party.
The policy director of VPI also informed that the party celebrates its ‘Foundation Day’ every year on November 17 which is also the ‘United Nations World Philosophy Day’.
He informed that this year a massive demonstration will be held on the eve of foundation day at Rangia in Assam’s Kamrup district where more than one lakh VPI workers are expected to participate.
