BSNL network fault blocks call to EMRI ambulance service in Meghalaya

SHILLONG: The EMRI ambulance service  in Meghalaya was affected for quite sometime as call EMS DIAL 108 were not landing due to a major fault and breakdown of optical-fibre network at BSNL Network

A press statement issued by the   GVK EMRI said that calls to EMS DIAL 108 were not landing since 2345 hours 18th November due to a major fault and breakdown of optical-fibre network at BSNL Network.

Efforts for same to restore the line at the earliest were underway as per update form GMTD BSNL Shillong.

However, people were asked to call 9856030108 for emergencies during the downtime

Later on Monday  afternoon, EMS DIAL 108 issue  were restored and calls were landing normally.
