TTJ CC win cricket tournament in Mawkyrwat

MAWKYRWAT: TTJ Cricket Club became the winner of the ‘1st S. Hestliyar Lyngkhoi Memorial Cricket Tournament 2018’ organized by the KSU Mawkyrwat Circle after defeating Friends United Cricket Club by 62 runs in the final held on Saturday at Madan Mawkyllut, Mawkyrwat. TTJ CC won the toss and elected to bat in which they score a total of 138 runs in an allotted 20 over with 6 wickets. Among the batsmen, James Wanniang was the highest scorer with 51 runs while Dearly Garnet Pariong of the Friends United took 3 wickets. In reply, Friends United could not achieve the target. They could only score a total of 76 runs and lost to TTJ CC by 62 runs. Among the bowlers, Bantehsong Wanniang took 3 wickets. The Man of the Match award went to James Wanniang from the TTJ CC for his performance that held the team to claim the first trophy of the tournament while the Man of the Series award went to Barister Nongsiej from the Friends United CC.
