Rice, atta released
The DC (Supply), East Khasi Hills District has informed that PHH, AAY, Additional PHH rice, Non-NFSA rice and wholemeal atta for the month of December has been released through the respective fair price shop dealers w.e.f. December 20 to January 7, 2019. All the fair price shop dealers are directed to lift their respective quota within January 3, 2019. Any non-supply, overcharging of rate or supply of inferior quality may be reported to the DC.

Compensatory holidays
The DC, West Garo Hills District has informed all State Government Offices and all Revenue and Magisterial Court will remain closed on December 28 and 31 as compensatory holidays.  However, in compensation all such offices and court will remain open on January 23 and 30, 2019.

Office bearers
The Meghalaya Veterinary Services Association, apex body in its 21st general body meeting held recently at the conference hall, department of AH and Veterinary, Lumdiengjri has elected the office bearers of the association for the year 2019-2020 with WMW Khongwir as president, D.I. Kjam, M. Tongper and AM Momin as vice presidents, BS Langbang as general secretary besides many other members.
