Mawryngkneng BDO office celebrates Thanksgiving

SHILLONG: The office of the BDO, Mawryngkneng C&RD BLOCK celebrated Thanksgiving Day in a programme held at the block premises on Thursday.
More than 20 self help groups including Sordars, village headmen and VECs took part in the celebrations.
R.Wahlang, BDO urged the the gathering to work in tandem with the various programmes of the Central and the State Government and encouraged the members of the SHGs to carry forward their mission of self employment.
The programme culminated with a performance by local artiste Hilar Marbaniang.
