Murder accused surrenders
On December 20 morning, Sengwat S Sangma (24) of Chibongbonggre village (SWGH) surrendered at Zikzak PP (SWGH) and stated that on December 19 around 1.30 am, he murdered Kolumbus R Marak (30 years), reportedly, for demanding money from his grandfather. Marak’s body was sent to CH Ampati for post mortem examination. Police arrested the accused.

Assault
Vikash of Delhi lodged a complaint that on December 18 around 10 pm, one Banlumlang Warjri (22) snatched his cell-phone and also assaulted him at Police Bazar, Shillong. Police arrested the accused.

Body found
Albinus Shyrkon lodged a complaint that Jendro Shyrkon (32) was found missing from his residence at Nongmawlai (WKH) since December 11. On December 16, residents recovered his body from a jungle at Nongmawlai.

Theft
Nancy Dora M Sangma lodged a complaint that on December 15, miscreants stole her purse containing one EPIC, one ATM card and cash Rs. 6,000 at Mendipathar Bazar (NGH).

Threat
Monica Langiar lodged a complaint that her sister-in-law, Arlina Pyrtuh, had threatened her mother Rimai Langiar and her children with dire consequences.

One knocked down
On December 20 around 6 pm, one Maruti car (DL-09CN-8506) knocked down a pedestrian identified as one Bahheh at Sumer (Ri Bhoi). The victim sustained injuries and was admitted at NEIGRIHMS.
