Players of team Meghalaya pose with the trophy after jointly winning the U-17 National Roll Ball competition organised as part of the Central government’s ‘Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat’ programme in Pune recently. The joint team of Meghalaya and Uttar Pradesh players defeated the combined teams of Assam and Rajasthan by a margin of 4-2. The state team consisted of Riwan Bhoi, Kyrshanmi Byrloi, Spiriat Khonglah and Coverson Majaw. Also, Suklang Dkhar, general secretary of the Meghalaya Roll Ball Association was selected as an official for the Asian Roll Ball Championship to be held from February 21-24 at Balgavi, Karnataka.
