Flash mob performs for women rights

SHILLONG: Aide et Action, Shillong, under the Initiative for Livelihood Education & Development (iLEAD), conducted a flash mob campaign to observe ‘One Billion Rising’- a global campaign – in Police Bazaar on Thursday to express solidarity towards women’s education and empowerment and to raise awareness on violence against them.
Students of iLEAD enthralled the audience with their dance and carried placards with a message to end violence against women through education.
iLEAD is an initiative that strives towards the uplift of local youth through livelihood education programmes, promoting micro enterprises and moulding youth to be better citizens.
