Mawkyrwat: Ahead of the council election, HSPDP Mawkyrwat Constituency, South West Khasi Hills District received a boost as leaders and supporters of other parties are expected to join the party in the next few days.
HSPDP leader and Mawkyrwat MLA, Renikton Lyngdoh Tongkhar informed that many leaders and supporters of other parties including PDF, KHNAM, BJP, NPP and Congress have expressed their willingness to join the party to support the party candidate, Nolip Lyngdoh in the council election.
Meanwhile, general secretary of the HSPDP Mawkyrwat Constituency, W. Wanniang informed that the party has decided to hold a general meeting on February 19 at 11:00 am at the party office in Mawkyrwat to welcome the new comers. “During the meeting, we will also welcome all the leaders and supporters of other parties who have decided to join us,” Wanniang said as he expressed confidence that the party will win the election.
