Anomalies alleged in appointment of forest staff

TURA: The Mindikgre Regional Unit of the GSU has alleged anomalies in the appointment of staff in the Forest Department by the District Selection Committee (DSC) of South Garo Hills.
“It has been observed that the DSC does follow the norms suggested by the Department. In the Forest Department, candidates are required to run for several kilometers during the physical fitness test. However, the prescribed distance is not being maintained by the DSC,” Greneth M Sangma, the president of the local GSU unit alleged.
The GSU leader also alleged the DSC of rejecting many applications without any specific or valid reasons.
