Traders at Leo Expo hope for high footfall

SHILLONG: Traders at the 9th International Leo Expo, directed by Leo Advertising, which started on Friday at SRGT Polo parking lot is hoping to get good response as it was in the previous years.
Foreign vendors from around the world have manifested a wide range of articles that look forward to giving traders emphatic success like in the past.The fair is open from 11 am to 8 pm and will continue till March 25. Exquisite commodities like dry fruits from Afghanistan, Egypt’s handicrafts, Turkey’s decorative lamps, readymade garments from Bangladesh and Thailand’s jewellery, artificial flowers and ladies’ bags have lined up for sale at the festival.
The organisers have also added a twist to the festival by announcing a lucky draw contest for visitors. The ticket is the lucky draw coupon on the basis of which prizes will be given. The first prize of gold and diamond necklace is worth Rs 175,000, second prize is Rs 60,000 in cash and the third prize is Rs 30,000 in cash.
