Girl attacked for rejecting proposal

SHILLONG: A student of class 9 of Government Girls’ HS School, Jail Road was assaulted on Monday after she refused a proposal by a Facebook friend.
Following this, two female students who were close to the boy assaulted her after school hours.
The Khasi Students Union Mawprem Circle has expressed concern over the assault of the girl by two others. In a statement issued here, the union said the girl, was beaten up leaving her with a swollen face. The union said the girl was taken to Nazareth Hospital.
The union filed an FIR and urged the police to take action.
