NONGPOH: The office of the District Medical & Health Officer, Ri Bhoi District on Friday organised a one-day Public Health Outreach Programme cum Ayush Health Camp sponsored by the National Ayush Mission at Bhoirymbong CHC.
The programme was attended by the local legislator of Umroi constituency, George B Lyngdoh as chief guest in presence of the District Medical and Health Officer, Ri Bhoi, Dr M Mawrie, doctors, headmen or nearby villages, ASHA workers and others including the women and children of Bhoirymbong area.
Delivering a key note address during the programme, Dr H Lanong, in-charge of AYUSH said that the National AYUSH Mission being launched by the Central government aims at implementing the AYUSH way of life by adopting one village as an AYUSH village and herbal garden to provide easy access to AYUSH services for the people through increased number of healthcare facilities, medicine and trained workers.
