Rotary meet highlights importance of education

SHILLONG: The Rotaract Club of Pine City, Shillong, organised a session on ‘Education and its necessity’ at Kiang Nangbah School, Jowai, which was attended by 345 students.
The entire programme, which was presided by Rtr Rishanlang Tyngkan, was held with an objective to encourage youths to continue their academic career.
Rotaractor CA Ram Kyndiah said, “In the present-day scenario, when we look at it from the perspective of our state context, we see many youths moving out of the state in order to pursue higher education. This in itself creates a problem for those families who cannot provide for their children even when they have the potential to achieve more.’’
The resource person Sunny Mawlong, Director of Immanuel Coaching Academy, briefed the students on the importance of education.
