Teen pregnancy, anaemia in focus

Mawkyrwat: As part of POSHAN Maah celebration, the office of the Child Development Project Officer (CDPO), Mawkyrwat organised an awareness programme on ‘Teenage Pregnancy and Anemia’ at Maharam Government Higher Secondary School, Mawkyrwat, on Wednesday.
Speaking on the occasion, District Project Assistant, ICDS, POSHAN, Mawkyrwat, C Nonglang spoke about various stages of life right from infancy to the old age and stressed that in each stage, we have different roles to play.
She inspired students not to indulge in bad habits but to focus in their studies. She also informed students of the impact of early marriage on their career, health, family, economic and social status.
Nonglang, further, stated that girl students should include food that is rich in iron in their diet in order to fight iron deficiency and be free from anemia.
