SHILLONG: On the eve of 4th Ayurveda Day, 2019, the North Eastern Institute of Ayurveda and Homoeopathy (NEIAH), Mawdiangdiang, Shillong organised a pledge taking ceremony which was followed by “Run for longevity”, and a Regional level Quiz competition, on Thursday.
Prof PK Goswami, Director, NEIAH, flagged off a run from HP Petrol Pump, Wah-heh, Ishyrwat at 9 am which culminated in the Directors office, NEIAH.
The participants of the run included staff, faculties, students of NEIAH among others.
A Regional level quiz competition was also organised where different colleges from all over North East participated.
The first prize was bagged by Akash Verma and Akshit Kukreti from IIM, Shillong, second prize went to Rupankar Nandi and Bishwayan Bhattacharjee from GHMC, Guwahati and third prize was bagged by Rushabh Menon and Vani Vivek from IIM, Shillong.
Workshop
On the occasion of 4th Ayurveda Day, 2019, a one-day workshop on ‘Ayurveda for longevity’ will be organised on Friday in the institute campus in which the Governor, Tathagata Roy will be the chief guest.
Other guests include Prof. A.C. Phukan, Dean (Academics), NEIGRIHMS, Shillong, and Prof. Abhichal Chattopadhya, HOD, Dept, Maulik Siddhant, IPTR & SVVP, Kolkata.
