NEHU conducts online courses workshop

SHILLONG: A one-week workshop on Massive Open Online Courses (MOOC) concluded at UGC, HRDC, in North Eastern Hill University, Shillong on Saturday.
As many as 32 faculty members from various colleges and universities from the North East participated in the programme.
The valedictory function was chaired by Rakesh Mohan, Director, UGC- HRDC, NEHU, who informed that the main objective of the workshop was to sensitise the faculty members from universities and colleges about the advantages of e-learning and to encourage them towards planning, designing, developing, delivering and implementing the online courses.
Highlighting the advantages of MOOC, Prof Mohan said it allows free access and unrestricted participation and provides a platform for interactive forums to any course.
