New Khasi film to reveal ‘secrets’ of Police Bazar

SHILLONG: The much awaited movie title 9-Lad, a movie based on flesh trade and prostitution will be released on February.
Commander Shangpliang, the director and producer of the movie, informed that the film which was supposed to be released last year had to be rescheduled for 2020 due to creative circumstances.
According to Shangpliang, the movie was appreciated by critics who saw the movie prior to its release.
Members of the Central Board of Film Certification also appreciated the movie, he added.
It may be also mentioned that the title song of the movie has cross 3.3 million views on Youtube.
The film was shot in Shillong particularly in Police Bazar where the crowd was at its maximum capacity during the day and night.
Shangpliang informed that the script was written after a thorough research and some parts of the movie are also influenced by true life incidents.
Shangpliang also informed that has heard rumors of flesh trade happening in the heart of the city.
He initially did not believe it but was shocked when he came across such activities during his research for the script.
He said that the objective of making the movie is not just to expose what is going on in Police Bazar but to find out a solution for which he has showed in the film.
The date for the release of the film on February will be inform later, he added.
