Govt to take steps to exclude personal interview: MLA

SHILLONG: Local MLA Hamletson Dohling said that the state government will take steps to do away with personal interview in job appointments to ensure that there is no partiality in recruitment.
He was speaking at a youth development-cum-awareness programme organised by Seng Samla Mawsyiem, Umlyngka, Upper Shillong, on Saturday.
During his address, Dohling said that such programmes will benefit the youth.
The second session of the programme focused on substance abuse in which the resource person was Assistant Director, MATI, I Warjri and the resource persons on the topics like ‘teen marriages’ was B Kharpuri, while the subject ‘school drop-out’ was taken up by A Wahlang, Headmistress of Umlyngka Presbyterian Secondary School. SG Royce Lanong took up ‘career guidance’ for the session.
