Council seeks Rymbui’s help in completion of educational projects

SHILLONG: The East Jaintia National Council (EJNC) has written to the Education Minister, Lahkmen Rymbui, apprising him about the bleak progress of the construction of government residential school and teacher training centre at Byndihati.
President of EJNC, Sambormi Lyngdoh said that the construction of a residential school at Byndihati has zero progress and the school has not been made functional yet.
Further, he said that the teacher training centre, approved at Byndihati village, is also needed as the teachers in the district need to enhance their teaching skills to impart better learning to the students.
He said that the Centre also remains unfunctional till date. Lyngdoh said that the EJNC demands from the Education department to take immediate and necessary steps to make the residential school and teacher training centre at Byndihati village functional.
