BDO to issue car passes for Moojem residents

SHILLONG: The Block Development Officer of Laskein has assured to issue car passes for the residents of Moojem.
The spokesperson of Hynniewtrep Border Dispute Redressal Forum, Thomas Passah on Tuesday informed that the BDO has assured the residents of Moojem that he will issue a car pass till Sahsniang.
Earlier, the forum had alleged that Sahsniang did not allow the vehicle carrying essential commodities to passes through the village. However, it was learnt that the vehicles were facing issues in passing from the village due to objection by police personnel posted at Tiehwieh Outpost.
Villages falling under disputed areas- Moojem, Moolain, Madan Nangkylla, Lang-et, Chnong Thymmei and Skap- are facing problems as they lack amenities.
