Man found lying injured on pavement near Rhino Point in Shillong

SHILLONG:  A man was found lying injured on the pavement  near Rhino Point in the city on Thursday evening. A bystander said he knew the man who is homeless and staying in the temporary shelter home run by the government in Kench’s Trace.

“He did not have any bandage yesterday (Wednesday). He left the shelter home early in the morning today (Thursday),” said the bystander. Policemen on duty in the locality  who were trying to help the man, said the 108 ambulance service phone number was repeatedly found unreachable. Later, an ambulance came after The Shillong Times informed the service.
