Principal Secretary reviews scheme implementation in EGH

TURA: Principal Secretary of Fisheries, Animal Husbandry & Veterinary, etc. Dr P Shakeel Ahmed on Friday reviewed the implementation of schemes by the departments of Fisheries, Animal Husbandry & Veterinary, Water Resources and Agriculture in East Garo Hills at the multi-facility hall of the DC’s office in Williamnagar.

The review meeting was held in the presence of East Garo Hills Deputy Commissioner, Swapnil Tembe and the Project Director, DRDA, L Ch Marak.

Reviewing the Meghalaya State Aquaculture Mission (MSAM) of the Fisheries, Dr. Ahmed suggested mapping of potential fishery growing clusters, loan system and better management system for successful implementation of the scheme in the district.

During the review meeting, the District Veterinary Officer (DVO), besides highlighting the achievements of the department also apprised him of the grievances being faced in the district.
