More areas under containment zones

SHILLONG: Due to the detection of positive COVlD-19 cases/ high risk contacts in specified compound at Nongsohphoh Upper Mawprem and due to recent high risk and low risk contact  with the COVID-19 positive cases, the District Magistrate, East Khasi Hills, in an order issued on Saturday declared the Thiang Compound, Raj Compound and Hari Compound at Nongsohphoh, Upper Mawprem as containment areas.
In another order, the district magistrate declared house of Gopal Thapa, Nepali Compound, Rilbong and the house of Sushma Taludkar, Burnside area, near Sankardev College Girls Hostel, Rilbong as containment areas.
Besides, the building of D. Wahlang opposite to ‘Sterian Rynjah Store’, New Kench’s Trace, Bishnupur has also been declared a containment area.
The magistrate, however, allowed Hyundai Service Centre at Mawblei to resume operation.
Meanwhile, in a late-night order, the EKH DC has declared the building of Adentis Lyngdoh, Lawsohtun Block- IV (Main Road), the cottage of Swarnalata Kutir, House No. 312, C/o Kanai Lal Dey, Near Nepali UP School, Mynsain, Lower Lumparing and the house of B Marbaniang, Riat Laban East, Madan Laban as containment areas.
