TURA: A concealed cache of ammunitions suspected to have been long abandoned by GNLA militants was recovered from a forest by South Garo Hills police on the intervening night of August 26 and 27.

Acting on inputs received from reliable sources, a district police team led by the Sub Divisional Police Officer (SDPO) carried out a search operation during which the hidden cache of ammunitions were recovered from Chibokgre A’king under Chokpot Police Station.

The recovery included a box containing 85 numbers of large-calibre ammunition believed to have been left behind by GNLA militants while they were still active.
