Rs 4L ex gratia for victims

SHILLONG: East Khasi Hills Deputy Commissioner Isawanda Laloo on Monday announced ex gratia payment to the families of the victims who passed away recently during the downpour-related incidents.
In a statement on Monday, Laloo said that an ex gratia payment of Rs 4 lakh per deceased will be given away by the Deputy Commissioner from the State Disaster Response Fund. To claim the payment, kin of the victims can approach the office of the Deputy Commissioner here.
