SHILLONG: Sandeep Sharma from Shillong participated in the Asia Online Kettlebell competition organized by World Kettlebell Sport Federation (WKSF).
The online Kettlebell Sport Championship 2020 was held from September 21 to 28, 2020. Sharma is the only contestant from North East to participate in the event. This is his second participation in the event but his first online competition.
Sharma participated in the 24 Kilogram Kettlebell Snatch (lift) for 10 minutes and he also took part in the 87-kilogram category. He won gold at the Asian Kettlebell competition in the 24 kg Snatch event for 10 minutes in the 87 kg bodyweight category with 162 points.
