SHILLONG, Dec 24: The Confederation of Ri Bhoi People (CoRP) has warned the companies to not indulge in illegal charcoal activities.
In a statement issued here, the CoRP Central Zone said that the members, after inspecting the Maithan & Nalari Company, alleged that they are using illegal charcoals.
Stating that the forest guards in Byrnihat have failed to notice the charcoals stockpiled there, the organisations have warned the companies of indulging in illegal charcoal activities.
The organisation has, on the other hand, said that it will soon write to the Deputy Commissioner of Ri Bhoi.
