Shillong electric crematorium staff feted

SHILLONG, Feb 28: As many as seven employees of the Shillong Electric Crematorium were conferred with the ‘COVID-19 Novel Service Award 2021’ at the crematorium premises on Sunday.
South Shillong MLA, Sanbor Shullai, felicitated the awardees and also provided them with certificate of recognition and gift hampers including financial assistance as a token of appreciation and respect for the services they rendered during the pandemic. The felicitation programme was organised by the Monitoring-cum-Implementation Committee, 19th South Shillong Constituency, along with Greater Shillong Electric Crematorium and Jhalupara Village Council.
