Murder attempt
W Kharjana lodged a complaint that around 12.30 am on April 7, a group of persons occupying a vehicle (ML-05M-8010) went to his residence at Umlyngka, Upper Shillong, and attacked his uncle Sketbor Kharjana with iron rod and sharp weapons with intention to murder him. As a result, victim sustained grievous injuries.

Assault
Bukshon Mawkhiew lodged a complaint that on April 4, his brother and one more were assaulted by four persons — Edewil Jyrwa (22), Kopal Roy Kharwar (20), Joplang Lyngdoh Marshillong (21) and Welkiness Mawlong (28) — at Nonglwai Madan Mawser, Mawngap in East Khasi Hills. As a result, his brother sustained grievous injuries and was shifted to Supercare Hospital, Shillong.

One held for attack
Teinam Hujon of Mawiong Rim Block-4, Shillong, verbally lodged a complaint on April 8 that one Bolansing Nongsiej (42) assaulted and stabbed him with a knife. As a result, he sustained injuries and was admitted to Civil Hospital Shillong. Police apprehended the accused and the matter is under inquiry.

B’deshi detected
On April 5, BSF personnel of E-Coy, 170 Battalion, Bagli BOP in South West Khasi Hills, apprehended a twenty-year-old Bangladeshi national, identified as Md Perves Ahmad.

Parcel stolen
Lonehess Rynjah lodged a complaint that on April 7, miscreants stole a sealed parcel containing a Samsung Galaxy F62 mobile phone from his scooty which was parked near MePDCL Office, Shillong.

Break-in
Sontilin Dkhar lodged a complaint that on April 6, around 3 pm, she found that miscreant(s) broke into her residence at Nongrah, Nonglum, and stole one pair of gold earring, a mobile phone and Rs 3,000 in cash.
