Man held for peddling drugs

NONGSTOIN, Aug 1: Police have arrested a 27-year-old man of Mawiong Lumsyntiew in West Khasi Hills for allegedly peddling drugs to youths in Nongstoin.
West Khasi Hills Superintendent of Police, HG Lyngdoh, said that police raided the house of the accused identified as Jeffrey Lyngdoh on Saturday evening after receiving a tip-off.
The police seized 19.96 grams of suspected heroin from his residence in the presence of independent witness.
Jeffrey Lyngdoh was then arrested.
In this connection, a case has been registered under NDPS Act.
