PWD officials conduct road site visits

SHILLONG, Sep 18: As part of the ongoing celebration of ‘India@75: Azaadi ka Amrit Mahotsav’, State Rural Roads Development Agency, PWD, organised site visits to four PMGSY road sites in East Khasi Hills on Friday.
According to a statement on Saturday, the visits were conducted under the direction of Ministry of Rural Development so as to disseminate information, share knowledge, et al.
The four PMGSY road sites that were visited by around 25 PWD officials include LPL Road to Mawpynthih, Mawkhar to Maweitnai, L028 to Mawkynring and Laitlyngkot to Laitmawroh.
“The visit concluded with an interactive and knowledge-sharing seminar at the PWD Sectional Assistant Training Centre, Laitlyngkot. Chief Engineer (Standard), PWD (Roads), BP Marak, and Empowered Officer, SRRDA, led the teams for the visits and chaired the Seminar,” the statement said.
