1st Div Cricket: Khalsa Warriors beat Nongkseh

SHILLONG, Feb 21: Khalsa Warriors registered a 7-wicket victory over Nongkseh SC in a rain-hit Shillong Cricket Association First Division match, here on Monday. In a match reduced to 21-overs-a-side owing to bad weather conditions, Nongkseh SC batted first after winning the toss, scoring 104/6 (revised score 111 after DLS). Iateilang Shangpliang top-scored with 35 runs off 39 balls, while Rohit Kumar Yadav contributed 28 runs. Player-of-the-Match Akash Mattu was the pick of the bowlers, claiming figures of 3/15 from 4 overs. Khalsa Warriors then knocked off the required target of 112 in 17.5 overs, losing only three wickets in the process. Karan Jaiswal smashed 46 runs off 33 balls while Akash also made his contribution with the bat, scoring 21 off 27 balls. Synraplang Riahtam took 2/24 for Nongkseh.
