Miscreants purloin money from church

SHILLONG, Aug 2: Miscreants on Sunday night stole money amounting to around Rs 30,000 from the Church of Christ at Mawshai, Umlyngka, Upper Shillong.
According to church members, who became aware of the commission of the crime the next day, informed that they recovered a hammer, lighter among items from the crime scene.
When contacted, police on Tuesday informed that they have registered a case in this connection and initiated an investigation.
