SHILLONG, Oct 17: The 11th Shillong International Leo Expo, which began on October 7 at the Malki Sports Club Ground, has witnessed a massive footfall like the previous years.
Shopaholics from Shillong and nearby areas have been witnessing a wide range of products from countries like Thailand, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Iran, and Afghanistan.
Amongst all, products from Thailand have been the most successful crowd-pullers. Moreover, the shopkeepers and the participants from the neighbouring country have also proved themselves as great guests.
It may be mentioned here that special emphasis has been given to Thailand and the expo is especially projected as the ‘Thailand Shopping Festival.’
Dry fruits and honey from Iran is another item that the expo visitors are seeming to like and admire.
With winters just at the doorsteps, the sale of winter wares has also skyrocketed.
The expo is also offering a wide range of products, from jewellery, different brands of kitchenware, home furnishing, pickles, furniture, readymade garments, and beauty products, to name a few.
The Shillongites have also been exposed to a wide range of delicacies.
