Programme
The Office of the Chief Electoral Officer in collaboration with the Office of the East Khasi Hills Deputy Commissioner on Tuesday organised a ‘Mission UNITE 2.0 (U& I Towards Enrolment) #Roll2Poll Urban Apathy Electoral Outreach Programme’ at Nongmensong Langkyrding. The programme was organised in a bid to “engage with the community leadership and organisations in creating electoral awareness and push enrolment drive among the citizens who have reached the voter’s age, especially in pockets where the enrolment gap is huge as a result of urban apathy.”

Demonstration
Women farmers on Tuesday attended a technology demonstration programme at Tiehbah village, which was organised by Research Extension Centre-Shillong in coordination with Department of Sericulture &Weaving, West Khasi Hills. According to a statement, the programme was attended by officials who enlightened the gathering about the use of various technologies. “The farmers showed very keen interest about the technologies demonstrated and being popularised through OFT during the Autumn crop,” the statement said.
