Gorkha student body distributes clothes, edibles among needy

SHILLONG, Oct 23: Members of All Shillong Gorkhali Chaatra Sangathan distributed clothes and edibles among the underprivileged people including children in and around the city as part of their pre-Diwali celebration on Sunday.
As many as 50 beneficiaries received jackets, jumpers, pants, T-shirts and hoodies to help through out the merciless winter of Shillong.
Association member Bhanudaya Upadhaya has expressed his joy in being able to help the people who needed it.
He expressed gratitude to the team members for arranging the clothes to donate to the underprivileged.
Since its inception in 2019, the young organisation comprising a team of enthusiastic youths has fought through trials to ensure that the society gets the help through them in the form of social work.
