NEHU conducts community extension prog

TURA, Nov 2: With an aim to benefit the degree-pursuing students as well as teachers of higher education institutions of Garo Hills, the department of Education, NEHU, Tura, organised a community extension programme ‘National Education Policy, 2020 and the Roles and Policy of Higher Education and Reforms of Assessment in Higher Education’ at Mendipathar College in North Garo Hills on Wednesday.
Speaking on ‘Assessment Reforms in Higher Education from the perspectives of NEP, 2020’, coordinator of the event Prof Nikme SC Momin emphasised on the ‘importance of graduate attributes’ like knowledge, skills, attitude, and values when he/she graduates a programme.
HOD, Department of History & Archaeology, Dr Tilok Thakuria shed light on the subject ‘Preparing for National Level Examinations with Special Reference to CUET: Issues and Challenges’.
Besides. teacher in charge of Department of Computer Applications, NEHU, Tura, Dr Rubul Bania shed light on the topic ‘On Role of Internet and Online Examinations’ from the perspective of National Education Policy, 2020.
