SHILLONG, Dec 27: In this era of social media where information travels faster than rumours, many videos from Khyndai Lad or Police Bazar, the centre of the capital city, have recently gone viral with visuals that do not send out a pleasant outlook of Shillong.
In the last couple of days, a number of videos have gone viral. In some, young boys and girls were seen creating ruckus in the area at night-time.
In a fresh clip, a group of boys can be seen thrashing each other right at the Khyndai Lad junction.
In an earlier video, which also went viral recently, a young boy was seen making lewd impressions in the area. In the same area, a girl was seen thrashing a man in another viral video.
While the police have assured action against people causing such nuisances, SOT personnel were seen guarding the area on Tuesday evening.
It may be noted that Khyndai Lad is one of the most visited thoroughfares in the city which hosts thousands of people day in and out.
