Run
As part of the World Water Day celebration, the PHE department, in collaboration with the District Sports Officer, Ri-Bhoi, will organise a 5-km run at 6 am on March 21. According to a statement, the run will commence from Indoor Stadium, Saiden and will culminate at Indoor Stadium, Downgate, Nongpoh. Registration for the same can be done at the Office of the Superintending Engineer, PHE, Nongpoh on or before March 20.

The National Institute of Fashion Technology, Shillong, will host a two-day craft bazaar from March 16 at its campus in Umsawli Mawpat. According to a statement, the event will showcase a diverse range of handlooms and handicrafts from the North East. “About 14 stalls will be exhibiting and selling exquisite works of 22 artisans/weavers from Assam, Manipur, Nagaland, Arunachal Pradesh, Assam and Meghalaya with products like cane-bamboo, jewellery, handloom, weaving, embroidery, dry flowers, black pottery, textiles, and many more,” the statement said.
