Coronavirus in India: Over 6000 cases recorded in past 24 hours

Shillong, April 7: The number of Covid cases in India have crossed 6000 mark in past 24 hours making it clear that the virus is spreading at a rapid speed. 6050 cases of Coronavirus were reported.

The total number of active cases as per the data of Health Ministry is now 28,303. However it is believed that there might be many more cases which have not been reported due to absence of testing in several parts of the country.

As per the data by the Ministry, 14 people died due to Covid during past 24 hours. A total of 5,30,943 people have lost their lives due to Coronavirus till now. The number of people who recovered was at 4,41,85,858.

Health Ministry is set to chair a high level meeting today afternoon in which analysis of the situation will be done and dos and dont’s to the states and UTs will be issued.
